Simply give us your claim number, drop off your keys and let us handle the rest!

Metal Work: Provided is a LIFETIME WARRANTY on all auto body metalwork and framework, including welding and the application of materials utilized in repairs against cracking, flaking, pitting or deterioration; excluding rust repairs.

Painting, Stripes & Decals: Provided is a LIFETIME WARRANTY on painting-related priming and paint work against solvent blistering, peeling, hazing and excessive loss of pigmentation. The application and adhesion of decorative stripes and decals are backed by a 5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY.

Parts: Provided is a 6-MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY, unless manufacturer’s warranty is less or more, on new parts installed by or at Kraftsmen Auto Body. Please note: Shop warranty does not exceed manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty section does not apply to used or after-market parts, or paint materials applied to these parts.

We strive to ensure that every job is done completely and correctly the first time.

Regardless of what any insurance company may try to say, every driver should know:

 You are not required to get more than one estimate.

You have the right to go to the repair shop of your choice.

No insurance company can require you to go to a particular shop. (This is called steering, and it is illegal!)

In accordance with Illinois State Law, you can go to the shop of your choice.

 Have you work done right. The first time.

SEASON AL MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST

FALL

• Get a transmission check.

• It may be time for a brake check.

• Check your power steering system.

• Have your car’s exterior cleaned and waxed.

• Replace your wiper blades.

• Change the oil. We’ll say it again – clean oil is key to a happy car.

WINTER

• Check on your battery. Batteries fail most often in the wintertime.

• Keep your washer fluid full.

• Change the oil. One more time.

• Keep your emergency kit stocked.

• Check your tires for wear.

• Keep your fuel tank above half full if you can. More fuel is better during colder times.

SPRING

• Check your spark plugs and wires.

• Check on your caps. Gas caps, radiator cap, brake fluids and more.

• Clean your headlights.

• Rotate your tires. Remember to rotate your tires at least every 7,500 miles.

• Also, check your tire pressure.

• Clean the interior. Spring cleaning is for your car, too.

• Check the air filter and cabin air filter.

• Have you checked all of your fluid levels?

• Replace your wiper blades.

• Change the oil. This is key to a long lasting car.

SUMMER

• Get a full cooling system checkup.

• Check your tire pressure.

• Change the oil.

• Have your air conditioner checked.

• Check your serpentine belt and other belts and hoses.

• Check your suspension system for wear.

After my car was sideswiped with minor damage to my front driver side and mirror, I was unsure where to take my car, as I didn't have a designated auto body/mechanic. The person who hit me had tried to get me to go to their "mechanic" which was definitely out of the question. So when I called Kraftsman they completely eased my anxiety by listening to my concerns and offered advice on how to deal with the person who hit me. On my first call to them, I felt reassured that my car would be in good hands. There wasn't any pushy sales tactics or "yeah yeah just bring it in." They took their time and completely understood the situation and were truly delightful to work with. I brought my car in for an estimate which took about 20mins or so but it was totally legit, they ran the damage through their system and provided me a genuine quote not some "look and guess" price. I even asked them to quote me on some other damage from a different accident. Every time I called I was able to speak to someone and they never rushed me off the phone. They explained every part of the car that they would fix so I knew exactly what they were doing. They even replaced my front bumper which was a pleasant surprise. Their work took about a week and my car looked absolutely amazing, like new. I would recommend Kraftsman to anyone looking for quality repairs and trustworthy people.

can't praise them enough for the work that they did. If you're reading these reviews (as I was before taking our two cars there), consider your search over - there really isn't any reason to go somewhere else. We had two fender benders with our cars this winter: one a rear-end and one an impact from a city bus. Kraftsmen did a great job on both ("after" photos from the city bus hitting us below - looks brand new). In addition, they're just a wonderful family-run business that is very customer service oriented, responsive, punctual, and knowledgeable about both cars and the insurance industry too (very helpful in our situation), as they've been in business for several decades. On one of the repairs I got a second estimate from another body shop who took about 5x as long to provide the estimate, needed about 3x as long to fix it, and came in at ~2x the cost of Kraftsmen. After two great experiences with them back-to-back, I can't imagine we'll even bother checking anywhere else in the future....

Danny & John took excellent care of me and my car after being hit while parked by a U-Haul and nearly losing my front bumper. They completely took care of communication with the corporate insurance company and insured all supplemental costs were covered and paid for by the insurance & not me.

Yes, clearly mastery at play! Someone bumped my car and bent fender and door. So I brought it to Kraftsmen, and basically got a "new" car back.

I guess after 40 years in the business, John and Dan really know what they're doing.

- In the end, they performed an entire detail clean inside and outside, and even motor, so that my car literally looked new.

If you’re scrolling through body shops, wondering who’s reliable, stop. This is the place!!

The entire front of my car was hit and banged up pretty good. Because I had a newer car, the car manufacturer literally didn’t have the parts to sell that we needed to fix the exterior of the car. Though this happened in 2021-2022, the supply chain delays were still immense and John and Dan called around relentlessly until we lucked out and finally found all the parts. My car was in the shop for several months because of this global issue and they would always reach out to me and keep me updated with new info and always realistic and upfront about costs.

 I would highly recommend Kraftsmen to anyone who is in need of an auto body repair.
